Aughintober Pipe Band making their debut at the World Pipe Band Championships in grade 4b 2001. The band picked up best band, best drums and best bass section on the day. The band played Glasgow Week in Hamburg & Brigadier Snow. Pipe Major Alan Ferry & Drum Sergeant Roy Ferry. The band was brought to this occasion by the hard work of the players and in particular the tireless efforts of our two tutors at the time Raymond Magowan & John Johnston
