It's been a while since i've written, so thought it would be good to say we havn't gone away! Still right here, plugging away, preparing for the twelfth! The band has done two parades so far this year, firstly the highly anticipated 'Arch Parade', held every year in Castlecaulfield. This year was no exception, with the usual aray of bands adding to the specticle, and it even managed to not rain! (Brilliant, cause I forgot my Cape!).
Secondly was the Annual (We do a lot of annual this time of year) church parade out at Aughintober Hall. With Rob contemplating whether to get a new carpet, or dye the one he's already got, and the Ferry Fella's maybe just a 'little' worse for wear, on we sauntered, marching proudly and getting a few cheers from passing cows.
But the real reason i'm writing today, is because today is the day of the much anticipated wedding day of Mr. Melvin Ferry (Ex. Pipe Sergent, APB, who hasn't even so much as stuck his head around the door at band practice since he came home), and Ms. Anna Brunton!
On behalf of the Committe and Band (Well we'd like to hope, cause the Chairman is Mel's Da, and there's a lot of family in the band!), we would like to wish the very new (hopely by what, 2.00/3.00pm this afternoon) Mr. & Mrs. Ferry the very best for the future, and would like to be the first wo wish them a Very Merry Christmas & Happy, Prosperous New Year!).
In non-APB news, Willy managed to pick up the All-Ireland Championships with Uppercrossgare in 4b (Yes, Willy, M&D Too!), Clifford got Best Bass (And was 2nd) with Ballybriest, and myself managed to pick up 4th in 4a with Tullylagan (Who also won the Drums!)
