That's 'Snow' Joke folks! Playing in Grade 2 has many advantages. Apart from the prestige of the grade, generally we play late, miss playing for the drum majors, and have a shorter day than anyone else. Saying that though all these things are utterly USELESS when there's a Snow Patrol concert in Bangor!
Like 2 years ago, the wonderful folks in Larne served up a cracking day, full of sunshine (and sunburn for those un-proetected). With the absence of a 'big' tree in the field though, the band was at a loss of where exactly to meet up, band members milling around aimlessly until, eventually Glenn text everyone telling us
"Meeting at the Ambulence! G"
So with a nice, easy tune up, thankfully this time the band was able to play quite well, leaving everyone in the band considerably more happy than last week, and of course free to go to Bangor! So it was left to Willy, Gail, Ash & Kyle to march in with the lads and lassies of Upper Crossgar (Thanks!) and collect our trophy - 4th place!
In other news, Upper Crossgar won 4b again (Well done Willy!) and Clifford picked up yet another bass prize with the guys from Ballybriest (Congrats Clifford!).
Anyway, after all that energy spent at Snow Patrol, everyone will be glad to know that the contest is in the Mighty Cookstown next week - so VERY little travelling!
